Château des Crêtes Galotta
The vines that spread out on a gentle south-east-facing slope are well “capped”: not only by the winegrowers who tend them, but also by the red brick building, flanked by a turret, that overlooks them. The Château des Crêtes was built in neo-Renaissance style by the “King of Parisian Gas”, Vincent Dubochet (1796–1877), the son of a Montreux farmer who returned to his native land to make his success a reality, right next to where Rousseau set his “Nouvelle Héloïse”.
With its fruity nose and full-bodied palate, the Galotta stands out for its power, elegance and great drinkability.
