These T&Cs govern all orders placed via the website www.lacavemontreuxriviera.ch. The offer is valid for Switzerland. For an order from abroad, please contact us by e-mail (info@lcmr.ch) or by telephone.

Products are offered for as long as they appear on the website and while stocks last. Descriptions and photographs are indicative and not binding.

You order in four steps: (1) you choose your products and add them to the basket; (2) you enter your contact details, your delivery address and the delivery method; (3) you choose the payment method; (4) you check the summary of your order, correct any input errors if necessary, then confirm by clicking the order button.

The sales contract is concluded when we confirm your order by e-mail. In principle, we only accept orders for items that are available in stock. If an inventory discrepancy prevents us from delivering an item, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you a replacement product: you may accept it or cancel your order.

All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF), including 8.1% VAT, excluding delivery costs. The prices displayed at the time of the order apply, subject to changes in the range, vintages or availability, and to the correction of obvious errors or typing mistakes.

Tiered discounts are applied automatically to your entire order, gift boxes included: –3% from 12 bottles, –5% from CHF 300.–, –8% from CHF 600.–, –10% from CHF 1000.–. We may also offer time-limited promotions: they are only valid during their publication period and cannot be claimed retroactively.

You can pay by credit or debit card (Mastercard, Visa), by TWINT, Apple Pay or Google Pay, as well as by WooPay when this method is offered, depending on the methods displayed at the time of the order. You can save your card for your future purchases and delete it at any time in your account. Payment is due at the time of the order: your card is charged when the order is placed. Payments are processed by our payment providers (see the privacy policy).

We deliver within Switzerland, to the address you indicate. Delivery in Switzerland is charged at CHF 12.– per order. It is free in the canton of Vaud for orders of CHF 100.– or more. The costs are displayed before you confirm your order.

If the first delivery attempt fails for a reason attributable to you, we may charge an additional CHF 20.– in transport costs. If an item is temporarily unavailable, or in the case of a pre-order, we may deliver your order in several shipments; delivery costs are then charged only once.

All orders can be collected free of charge at our shop, Avenue de Belmont 28, 1820 Montreux, during our opening hours, which are published on our website (Contact page).

Some gift boxes containing fresh food (for example the Fondue gift box) are prepared to order and are only available for collection at our shop: they cannot be delivered.

Products are delivered in their original cartons or cases, except for mixed cartons and gift boxes. We do not take back glass.

The goods remain our property until full payment, including delivery costs.

Swiss law does not provide for a right of withdrawal for online purchases. We do, however, offer a satisfaction guarantee: if the goods ordered do not satisfy you, you have one month from receipt to report this to our customer service (info@lcmr.ch). We will then agree a solution with you: exchange, credit note or refund, as appropriate.

The statutory warranty applies (art. 197 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations). You must notify us of a defect as soon as you notice it. Defective bottles are replaced or refunded. Claims based on the warranty become time-barred two years after delivery.

The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited to persons under 16 for wine, beer and cider (sparkling wines included), and to persons under 18 for spirits and distilled beverages. Our current range consists of wines, sparkling wines and beer; the 18-year limit would apply, as a matter of principle, to any spirit or distilled beverage that might be offered. By ordering, you confirm that you are of the required age for the products ordered and entitled to make these purchases. We may check your age at pick-up or delivery.

These T&Cs are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of La Cave Montreux Riviera (canton of Vaud), subject to the mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law for consumers and to appeals to the Federal Supreme Court.

We may change these T&Cs at any time. The version applicable to your order is the one online on the date of the order.
